YLE, Finland’s national public broadcasting company, shares news about a new green technology factory starting in Imatra. It aims to employ hundreds of people in the future. Nordic Nano, which manufactures environmentally friendly solar systems and energy storages, plans to open the facility in the Teppanala area of Imatra. CEO Esa Parjanen states that Nordic Nano utilises Finnish materials research as well as German printing technology in its operations and he also mentions that the technology is competitively priced.
In the interview, Esa explained that Nordic Nano’s products have a variety of uses. For example, solar cells that utilise diffuse light can be applied to buildings’ roofs, walls, and windows. Additionally, the company’s energy storages have a long lifespan and are fire safe, making them particularly beneficial for electric vehicles. (The news and the interview is in Finnish.)
